Winter in York

It’s been consistently snowing in York for the past few days. There’s something absolutely pure, silent, and magical about having familiar buildings covered with a fresh and fluffy layer of snow. York, as always, is gorgeous in any season. It’s been so great to walk to seminars and make my way through a winter wonderland.

Here are some snaps I’ve captured on my afternoon walks!

UK Style: Ankle Boots

I have come to terms with the fact that my flip flop wearing days are over for the forseeable future. Gone are the sunny summer days and relaxing in the hot sun! I’ll have to keep my toes warm and here are some stylish ways to do it! Ankle boots are perfect for the fall/winter seasons because they’re comfortable, chic, versatile, and endlessly practical.

UK Style: Cold Weather

Moving to England means that winter is going to be especially chilly. Growing up on the East Coast, I’ve had my fair share of cold winters, but they don’t last half as long as those in the UK. That being said, I’m in the market for a good autumn/winter coat. I’ll need something to last me for a while, especially considering that the average high temperature in the summer is only 75 degrees! I better get used to chilly breezes pronto.

Here are some cute jackets and coats that I’ve had my eyes on!

What are your top picks for cold winter wear?
